Nearly two weeks after Vice President JD Vance criticized Europe for what he deemed to be risky repression, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer addressed completely talk in the country.

When a writer inquired about Vance’s remarks on Thursday, he defended them while sitting near to Starmer and President Donald Trump in the Oval Office.

” Look, I said what I said. We do had, of course, a specific relationship with our friends in the U. K.”, the vice president said. However, we are even aware of potential free speech infractions.

Starmer responded quickly, saying,” We’ve had completely speech for a very, very long time in the United Kingdom. And it will last for a very, very long time”.

. @VP JD Vance defends his remarks in Munich:” We do have a unique partnership with our friends in the U.K., but we also know there have been infractions on free talk.”

While the main theme of the Munich Conference, where Vance first made his notes, was the&nbsp, dialogue to stop the war&nbsp, between&nbsp, Russia&nbsp, and&nbsp, Ukraine, Vance accused Europe of abandoning its political principles, which much of the U. S. support to the globe is based on.

” Free conversation, I fear, is in retreat”, Vance said. &nbsp,

” I look to our very dear companions, the United Kingdom, where the backslide away from morality freedom has placed the fundamental rights of religious Britain in particular in the sights,” he said.

‘ DID I SAY Who? TRUMP QUESTIONS, IF ANY, ON ZELENSKY’S Labeled” DICTATOR.”

The vice president did not criticise Russia, which often censors social conversation, of repression in his tackle.

Vance, Trump, and Elon Musk have made free talk and repression fears a focal point of the new Trump presidency. &nbsp,
