Gasoline prices are trending downward once more after two months of increases. According to AAA, the regular price for a gallon of regular gasoline decreased to$ 3.114 on Friday.

A gallon of regular gas is now less expensive than a week ago, when it was$ 3.162. Fuel costs are lower on Friday than they were on average a month ago, when gas was$ 0.12 per gallon. Additionally, it means that the average cost for a gallon of regular gas in the country is lower today than it was on former President Joe Biden’s final day in office, when the price was$ 3.125 per gallon. Additionally, gas costs less today than it did a year ago, when regular gasoline was$ 3. 294 per gallon.

Lower gasoline prices are a welcome sight to everyone in the nation. Since Biden‘s first year in business, the country has experienced higher gas prices. These high prices have had an impact on both the business and the income of the population. Energy costs increased considerably under Biden, particularly in comparison to President Donald Trump‘s father. The average cost for a gallon of regular gasoline was$ 2.476 between Jan. 2017 and Jan. 2021.

Comparatively, starting in June 2021, less than six months after Biden’s inauguration, gas prices increased to over$ 3 per gallon. The cost of a gallon of regular gasoline during his name increased to$ 4.929 in June 2022, making it the most expensive fuel in the nation’s history. The following quarter, gasoline prices started to decline. Between 2022 and 2024, gas prices varied, but they remained higher than they did when Trump was in business. By April 2024, fuel costs had been trending upwards and had reached their highest point for the year before starting to decline repeatedly in May.

Oil prices gradually dropped to$ 3.01 per litre by the middle of December. After Christmas, they started rising again before falling on January 20 as Trump began his next term. Gas prices never increased to the lower$ 3 per gallon price point. During Trump’s subsequent expression, many people across the nation hope to see it.

Energy prices vary across the country, with some says significantly higher than others. Energy prices rise in people while gas prices decline in some regions of the nation. Pricing ranged from$ 2.672 per quart in Mississippi to$ 4. 799 in California on Friday.

GAS PRICES: SLIGHTLY DATES AT THE PUMPS TO END THE WEEK

Oil prices have continuously decreased in and around Washington, D.C. This month, with every state having fuel prices that were lower on Friday than on Monday. In the Delmarva place, Delaware has the least expensive gas prices, starting at$ 2.886 per gallon. A gallon of regular gasoline price$ 2.958 in the First State, which is a decrease from a year earlier.

Gas prices in Maryland dropped below$ 3 per gallon, reaching$ 2.994. This is a decrease from the previous week’s$ 3.078 gallon of regular gas. Virginia’s oil prices also decreased by under$ 3 per quart, reaching$ 2.972. Washington, D.C., has the highest oil prices in the area, higher than the national average, and among the highest prices along the Atlantic coast, at$ 3.24 per quart.
