
The owner of Blue Origin, Jeff Bezos, plans to launch an all-female team into place that includes his fiancée Lauren Sánchez, his fiancée, Katy Perry, journalist, Gayle King, and his fiancée.
Previous NASA scientists Aisha Bowe and Amanda Nguyen will also be aboard the New Shepard jet, along with movie producer Kerianne Flynn. According to a media release from Blue Origin, the trip is scheduled to take off sometime this spring.
The room travel agency praised Sánchez for bringing the “mission up,” saying it’s meant to challenge the captain’s “perspectives of Earth, enable them to promote their own stories, and create a lasting effect that will empower generations to come.
Sánchez, a journalist, writer, and actor, has collaborated with Bezos on numerous tasks over the course of their close to seven-year relationship. She founded Black Ops Aviation, the second female-owned flying film and manufacturing business, and is also a certified pilot.
Since May 2023, she and the businessman Amazon founder have been engaged, though no ceremony date has been set.
Bezos founded Blue Origin in 2000, which includes The Washington Post and The . Bezos himself was on board the company’s primary manned mission into sub-orbital area in 2021.
Also on that journey were his older sibling Mark, an 82-year-old aviator named Wally Funk and an 18-year-old named Oliver Daemen, who scored his solution when an unknown auction champion backed out of collecting his reward. Before returning to Earth, the rocket launched from West Texas, where it was located, and traveled 66 miles into the atmosphere.

The investigation organization claims to have flown 52 people above the internationally renowned Kármán line, which is the outermost boundary of space.
