
Almost 3, 000 soldiers have been ordered to the southern border by the Pentagon, who will occur in the coming weeks.
The security official added that the deployment’s objective is to “reinforce and increase existing border security functions to mark the border and safeguard the United States ‘ territorial dignity.”
According to the Washington Post, about 2 400 of the 3, 000 soldiers will be deployed with the Stryker regiment, and another 550 will be assigned to the aircraft system. The statement added that the Stryker cars, which can hold up to 11 troops and have been deployed in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, will most likely be delivered to the borders by road and truck.
Hegseth stated on X following the announcement that the Trump presidency is “dead major about 100 % operational control of the southern boundary.”
The Pentagon’s earlier troop deployment to the southwestern border at the beginning of President Donald Trump’s second word is almost double what the Pentagon did prior to that implementation. Along with martial airlifts to aid imprisonment flights of unlawful immigrants living in the United States, that rollout included 1, 000 Army staff and 500 Marines.

Kristi Noem, Texas governor, and Secretary of Homeland Security, DHS Greg Abbott (R-TX ) has praised the efficacy of the federal government’s new border security measures.
Noem reported earlier this week that the number of arrests made on Saturday at the southern  border was lower than the a few hundred per day, claiming that this was the “lowest one fear day in over 15 decades.” Abbott added that the new federal assets to the borders have assisted position forces in halting illegal immigration along the Texas-Mexico frontier, which was a hotspot during the Biden administration’s, border, border crisis.
