At least 37 people were killed and 30 people were hurt early on Saturday when two passenger cars collided on a remote road in southwest Bolivia, according to authorities.
The incident took place at 7 am local time near Uyuni, which serves as the entrance to the Salar de Uyuni, the largest salt flat in the world, which covers more than 10,000 square kilometers ( 3,900 square miles ) and is a well-known tourist destination, according to the Associated Press.
