Following President Trump’s conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday, the returned once more showed its true colours. The pearl-clutching commentators, whether in Congress or in the media, instantly adopted their preferred narrative: Trump was to blame for the violent meeting, Trump embarrassed America, and he “ambushed” the bad Russian leader in an elaborate setup.

One issue is that it is total drivel.
Don’t just take my word for it, though. Yet some left-leaning voices couldn’t stand the obvious misrepresentation of what really happened. Independent journalist Michael Tracey, who is undoubtedly not a fan of MAGA, criticized the irony of the “ambush” tale being promoted by the conventional media.
People who logically watches the entire 50 days will realize that it wasn’t an “ambush,” Tracey wrote in a blog on X. ” The second 40 days were pleasant and standard.” Then came Zelensky’s self-inflicted collapse. Your plan extrapolations may also be irrational if you can’t reasonably identify the meeting.

Tracey continued on with this. He described Zelenskyy’s precise strategy for launching his own political vision.
Trump made two obvious verbal promises to Zelensky that he would remain arming Ukraine, which is the most pressing policy issue in terms of Ukraine. But then he made the stupid interjection, and everyone suddenly went wrong. Pic of a dramatic political panic. https ://twitter.com/J4t5HVtNia— Michael Tracey ( @mtracey ) February 28, 2025

In fact, Zelenskyy had now secured what he needed, assurances that military support would proceed under Trump’s subsequent term, before shooting himself in the foot.  ,
Don’t overlook this: The Biden Administration Gave Millions to the Taliban and Defended Doing So!
The irony of that conference was that they were about to formalize Ukraine as a form of US protectorship, with continued US military “assistance” and a platform for NATO troops ‘ implementation. which are all significant US pledges given the circumstances. However, Zelensky wasn’t left without it,” Tracey continued. Another humor is the anxious EU’s overreactions to” The Conclusion of the Western Alliance!” etc. — could compel at least some of them to act quickly in front of Ukraine, possible enraging the US. ( The same frenzied overreactions happened throughout word 1 )”
Progressives have little incentive to criticize anyone regarding Ukraine. They have been consistently refusing to do any reexamination of a policy that has led to ironic I ground warfare for the past three years. They also insist on critical thinking over dramatic platitudes.

How rapidly the media fabricated a story version of events is what is most presenting about this whole episode. They told tales of Trump setting” traps” and conducting “humiliations” instead of revealing what actually happened, a cordial meeting that deteriorated as a result of Zelenskyy’s poor political choices, because they refused to acknowledge that Zelenskyy was to blame.
