Md Nahid Islam, the chairman of the newly formed Jatiya Nagorik Party, stated on Tuesday that it is impossible to create a novel Bangladesh by adhering to the previous law and system of government.
It won’t be enough to shift the government by itself. We must reform the management structure and the law in order to utilize the welfare of the people and create real democracy. According to Islam, this will help us maintain democracy, justice, and righteousness. His remarks came after he paid tribute to Liberation War prisoners at the National Memorial Mausoleum, marking the second program the JNP has organized since its creation as a political party.
Islam more stated that JNP’s goal is to honor the dreams brought on by the conflicts of 1947 and 2024. Islam laid out the necessity for a new constitution and constituent assembly in order to achieve JNP’s goal of creating a” Second Republic.” We think a new law is necessary for the formation of a new nation, and we are working toward that goal, he said. The main goals of JNP’s current strategy are to increase the party’s local appeal and satisfy the party’s registration requirements.
Islam demanded the trial of those responsible for deaths over the past 15 years on the subject of accountability. The social verdict of the Awami League must be determined through the court system on the ground of Bangladesh, he said.
