In the wake of the violent Oval Office gathering next week between Donald Trump, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and JD Vance, Trump criticized Zelenskyy as unkind, leading to his expulsion from the White House. The much-anticipated material rights agreement, which was scheduled to be signed on Friday, is still unsigned and uncertain due to this extraordinary battle.

Trump continues to criticize Zelenskyy. He also made the suggestion on Monday that Ukrainians might depose Zelenskyy.
Zelenskyy has undergone a remarkable change over the past few weeks, and he is now sorely groveling to President Trump. Zelenskyy is now attempting to mend fences and fit himself with Trump’s strong leadership, in stark contrast to his previous grandstanding.

Zelenskyy is toeing a distinct line today, in front of the stark truth that the United States under Trump isn’t interested in paying the price for Ukraine’s ongoing conflict with Russia: “Ukraine is ready to travel to the negotiating table as soon as possible to provide lasting peace closer.”
Nobody wants serenity more than Ukrainian do. Under President Trump’s strong command, my staff and I are prepared to work toward a lasting peace.
The initial steps could be the release of prisoners, a ban on rockets, long-ranged uavs, bombs on power and other civilian infrastructure, and peace in the ocean right away, if Russia does the same. Next we want to move quickly through all the next steps and work with the US to reach a powerful final agreement.

But his acknowledgment of America’s position in Ukraine’s life, specially under Trump, is perhaps his most powerful statement.
We truly value the assistance that America has provided to Ukraine in preserving its sovereignty and independence, Zelenskyy wrote. ” And we recall the time when President Trump gave Ukraine Javelins,” she said. We are appreciative of this.
Zelenskyy realized that he really does need to show love after Trump asked for it.
The leader of Ukraine also made an effort to facilitate a “regrettable” White House conference on Friday. Zelenskyy made a strong appeal to Trump, noting that “our gathering in Washington… did not go as planned. It is unfortunate that it occurred in this manner. It’s time to put things right. We want to have a positive future in terms of teamwork and conversation.
He’s pleading for another chance at a more fruitful relationship going forward rather than simply admitting that the conference went poorly. The thoughts of Zellenskyy demonstrate how delicate this alliance is and how to make things right.

In the end, Zelenskyy reiterated that Ukraine is eager to mark the recently approved metal rights and security agreement, which was postponed in response to the heated exchange between him and Trump.  ,

He declared, “Ukraine is ready to sign it at any time and in any suitable format,” clearly indicating that he is willing to bend over back, regardless of the circumstances, to ensure the transaction is made. He anticipates that this agreement will “offer more security and strong security guarantees.”

Zelenskyy’s about-face is powerful. He is now speaking out in front of Trump, acknowledging the crucial part the former chairman played in the defense of Ukraine, and pleading for a path to peace. Prior to all else, Selenskyy is aware that Ukraine’s chances of winning are sleek without Trump’s support. He’s been rogue with other Western leaders just, but he must have calculated things and realized that just having Europe’s help won’t put an end to the war.  ,
It’s unclear whether this sniveling may win him Trump’s favour, but it’s a sure sign that Zelenskyy is acknowledging that he can’t dictate terms.
