Haven’t you hear it, then? President Trump’s levies on Canada and Mexico have caused shared breakdowns in the liberal press and Democrat politicians, but it appears that the master negotiator is about to secure yet another victory for America.

Trump imposed a 25 % tariff on imports from Mexico and Canada on Monday. Trump’s 2025 Trade Policy Agenda includes an additional 10 % tariff on Chinese goods, which would increase the country’s rate to 20 % as part of his wider trade rebalancing plan. And the first public outburst was the customary bravado for the community.
Justin Trudeau, the prime minister of Canada, made the announcement that a 25 % tariff would be applied to C$ 30 billion ($ 20. 7 billion ) of US goods immediately, followed by an additional C$$ 118 billion ($ 86. 2 billion ) in 21 days.
In remarks he claimed were directed at Trump, Trudeau said,” This is a very stupid thing to do.” There is “absolutely no explanation or need for these levies today.”
At a press conference in Mexico City on Tuesday, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum stated that the country’s president would declare punitive tariffs on US imports on Sunday. Sheinbaum noted that” the unilateral decision made by the US affects national and international organizations operating in our land, as well as our people.
But, something completely distinct was happening behind the scenes.
Howard Lutnick, the secretary of commerce, later told Fox Business that Trump might announce a business agreement with both nations as soon as Tuesday.

Both the Mexicans and the Canadians were on the telephone with me all day now, Lutnick said.” Both of them were trying to convince me that they’ll do much.” ” And the president is listening that, as you know, he’s pretty, very fair and reasonable,” I believe he will work things out with them. Although there won’t be a wait, none of that pause stuff, I believe he will find out, you should do more, and we will likely meet in the middle in some way. We will probably announce that tomorrow.
Lutnick:” Both the Mexicans and the Canadians were on the telephone with me all day now trying to show that they’ll do much, and the leader is listening because you know he’s really very good and very affordable. So I believe he will come up with a deal with them. It won’t go in the photograph. twitter.com/qjzYHzipQr— Aaron Rupar ( @atrupar ) March 4, 2025
According to CNN,” a Canadian federal resource confirmed to CNN” that Dominic LeBlanc, the country’s finance minister, spoke with the US business director on Tuesday.
Trump allegedly made a HUGE news in his conversation now.
Consider when the left predicted horrific events about Trump’s strong trade tactics? You are aware that they would sabotage our business and global relationships? How many days must they be proven false before acknowledging that Trump is aware of what he is doing?

The frontrunners of Mexico and Canada appear to have forgotten that their hard words when they’re negotiating with Trump mean everything, and they’re going to back down.
This is the old-fashioned Trump. He uses daring action to gain one’s interest before negotiating from a strong position. It is the complete opposite of the weak-kneed view we saw during the illogical Biden-Harris era.
The democratic economists and media commentators who have been making monetary doom are about to take the crow once more. To put America first and strike deals that benefit American employees, not international pursuits, is precisely why the American people elected Trump for a second term.
So get down, people. The White House is still known for its Craft of the Deal, and America is once more winning.  ,
