Ohio drivers are being warned by authorities about a fraud involving phony word messages demanding pay for paid tolls.
The Ohio Turnpike emphasized that it never requests burden payments via text emails. Paid fees are rather collected through three payments sent via US Mail.
Scammers are posing as individuals by sending false scriptures about unpaid charges, according to the Ohio Turnpike in a statement. We don’t use text information to obtain payments.
But, officers made it clear that owners may receive genuine text emails from Reliant Capital Solutions, LLC, an Ohio Attorney General’s Office collection agency, regarding accounts that have been overdue for more than 90 days.
