Authorities in Orlando were shocked by a man who is accused of stealing diamond earrings worth more than$ 769, 000 from a Tiffany &, Co. store in an attempt to conceal the evidence.
Impersonating an NBA agent is the attack.
Jaythan Lawrence Glider, 32, allegedly posed as an Orlando Magic person as a representative for the Tiffany &, Co. business at the Mall at Millenia on February 26. He was given exposure to the expensive diamond rings after performing this false deception.
Glider’s avoid was brief in scope. After stopping his car on Interstate 10 in Washington County, Florida, Orlando Police located him and detained him.
denying the information?
When Glider asked the prison staff,” Am I going to be charged with what’s in my belly,” he raised eyebrows after his arrest. Shortly afterward, a brain scan revealed the presence of foreign items in his gastrointestinal system. Regulators now believe these items to be Tiffany rings that were stolen.
According to police information, law enforcement officials are awaiting the arrival of the stolen jewelry before releasing it. The arrest report says that” these foreign items are suspected to remain Tiffany &, Co. rings taken in the assault but will need to be collected by WCSO after they are passed through Glider’s program before confirming.”
A criminal record
Glider’s imprisonment did not only involve the theft from Orlando. He was previously accused of robbing a Tiffany &, Co. shop in Texas in 2022 and had 48 outstanding permits from Colorado. He is currently facing a second-degree great theft and assault with a face.
Medical dangers associated with ingesting jewelry
Health experts issue warnings about possible risks even though swallowing smaller objects may not always be dangerous. Generally, things smaller than 1 inch in diameter or 2 inches in length pass through the body without problems, but there is still the chance of internal bleeding or leakage.
Law enforcement is currently closely monitoring Glider both while he is in prison and as he prepares to retrieve the stolen merchandise.
