” The Yankees are coming! The Yankee are coming”! The correct North, strong and free, we stand on guard for thee. And don’t forget to voting for the Liberal Party.
The” Red Scare” of the 1950s wasn’t so much a “scare” as it was an excuse to politically punish liberals. During the Great Depression, a couple of million punters “flirted” with socialism as an answer to the vicissitudes of mankind’s economic cycles. Misguided and utterly stupid, they believed that the American experiment had been married to the Russian experiment.

Almost all of them abandoned Socialism once the truth about Joseph Stalin and the gulags , suddenly came out after being consciously suppressed by spectators like the New York Times’s Walter Duranty. But a significant amount of liberals who worked in government maintained two interests.
There were those who were Socialists in their junior but abandoned the philosophy. They were caught up in the” Communist wiretaps” along with true criminals despite being faithful Americans. Thousands lost their jobs and had their lives ruined by power-hungry young tyrants and those who gained strength by scaring the British citizens half to death.
It should be stated that there was never any chance either that these intellectually dulled Socialists could ever have taken over the U. S. They don’t have undermined our defence establishment because there were not enough of them to be a threat. Any advice that they might have caused damage to the U. S. is just plain crazy.
Then, it appears that Canada is about to go through a similar “scare”. Don Brand, a poet for the Calgary Herald, has anointed himself” Scaremonger-in-Chief” and is pushing the absurd assumption that the U. S. did “invade” Canada and annex it as the 51st position.
But we’re learning to get Trump at his own thoughts. Then he wants to break up the 1908 agreement that fixed our borders.

That research is dead bad, she says, because the outcome would not be determined by a battle between normal armies.
” More, a military conquest of Canada would cause a decades-long violent opposition, which would ultimately kill the United States.

Basically, Dr. Ahmad is best. Afghanistan, Iraq, and many other uprisings have proven the success of asymmetrical war.  ,
But the question isn’t whether Canada may struggle a guerilla war for decades, the question is who is stupid enough to really think that the” second step is sending troops to safe it.”
Americans on X appeared confused.
Who’s talking about invading anyone?

People who seriously believe the US is going to invade Canada have a screw or several loose.

It’s not a question of anyone seriously believing the U. S. would invade Canada. The point is writers like Brand and politicians like Trudeau are ginning up hysteria by demonizing Donald Trump in much the same way that demagogues in America during the 1950s and ‘ 60s demonized Stalin and Khrushchev.  ,
Brand’s fantasy guerrilla war is the product of a massive inferiority complex and a studied effort to increase his influence by enraging Canadians.
