The Democrats are at it again, people. While President Trump and Republican leadership are working hard to maintain our government functioning and implement essential reforms to make it better and more successful, the Left is playing their common obstructionist games. But this time, we didn’t manage to let domestic disagreements get in the way of success.

On Saturday, President Trump called on all Republicans to support a continuing resolution ( CR ) to fund the government through September.
” Wonderful things are coming for America, and I am asking you to give us a few months to get us through to September so we can continue to put the Country’s ‘ economic home’ in buy”, he said in a post on Truth Social. It’s a fair plea that any serious conservative may help.
However, Democrats are salivating over the hopes of a government shutdown to rally DOGE breaks. Democrats love closures because they know Republicans may get blamed for it. And let’s be fair, with Republicans controlling both chambers of Congress and the White House, the tale writes itself. Liberals are not going to play basketball, and we know that. But, if Democrats didn’t get on table and get this CR passed, the internet does have a field day with it.
The ongoing quality isn’t just another investing bill—it’s a strategic tool in our army to drain the lake. Through the Department of Government Efficiency ( DOGE ), we’re finally positioned to slash wasteful spending and bureaucratic bloat. Yet the House Freedom Caucus, commonly our staunchest macroeconomic eagles, recognizes this opportunity.
” Everybody understands government funding expires next Friday, a week from today”, Freedom Caucus member Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas ) said last week. ” And, you know, generally we want to use that as a stress point to specific spending cuts and spending breaks, and we still do.  , And so one of those items that I think is important, critically important here is the President supports a continuous decision for one easy cause”.

Roy continued,” He—through DOGE and Elon—he, through his tremendous leadership of Russ Vought over the Office of Management and Budget. They have the keys to pull down saving using professional energy. We in Congress right now, if we pass a continuous resolution for six months, we will expand spending at current levels, which means we’re freezing spending, no increases, keep that in check, allow them to continue to do the difficult work of DOGE to discover all the waste, fraud and abuse, help Russ Vought to get in there, do impoundment, rescissions, and then they may hold spending in check while we go through a real full appropriations process this summer and then insert all of that into our appropriations work”.
He added,” Now, we don’t have it all, so we need to keep the lights on. We need Elon to keep doing his work at DOGE. We need all of that great team to deliver, and then we can insert that into appropriations this summer for FY26″.
Freezing spending is a conservative victory, even if the policies themselves aren’t ideal. But, according to Roy, with President Trump and his team in charge, they can implement these policies effectively, so it’s important to give them the flexibility to do so.

This CR maintains crucial funding for ICE operations, enabling continued deportations of criminal aliens and enhanced border security. It’s precisely why the Democrats are fighting it tooth and nail- they can’t stand the idea of actually enforcing our immigration laws.
The bottom line is simple: We have a rare opportunity to implement real conservative reform while keeping the government operational. As President Trump warned,” Democrats will do anything they can to shut down our Government, and we can’t let that happen. We have to remain UNITED — NO DISSENT”.
For once, let’s not snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Republicans need to close ranks, pass this CR, and show Americans that conservative governance actually works. The swamp creatures can wait their turn to panic—we’ve got work to do.
