The US Secret Service shot a man reportedly” suicidal” near White House on Sunday while Donald Trump was in Florida at the time, according to the government. The
According to statement released by the Secret Service, the shooting occurred around midnight, only a strip from the White House, with no other injuries reported.
” On Sunday March 9th, an adult male was shot by US Secret Service staff following an armed clash with law enforcement in Washington DC”, the speech shared by spokesman Anthony Guglielmi read.
” The tragedy is under investigation by the Metropolitan Police Department Internal Affairs Division’s Force Investigations Team, which investigates all law enforcement officer involved killings in the District of Columbia”, it added.
More describing the affair, it said,” As soldiers approached, the specific brandished a firearm and an armed confrontation ensued, during which shots were fired by our employees. The suspect was transported to an area hospital and his situation is mysterious. There were no reported accidents to Secret Service personnel”.
This comes as US President has faced three death attempts last season, with the first one on July 13 when Trump suffered bullet wound at his protest in Butler, Pennsylvania.
