Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA ) suggested that his Democratic Party’s strategy should center on economic policies that make life more “affordable”.
As House Republicans released their saving costs, there was less than a week to discuss the details to ensure the seats needed to pass it in both chambers. Congress is racing toward a March 14 date for a federal closure. Khanna pointed to a probable financial decline resulting from the plan as a plan of attack.
” I think the method is to point out that some of their plans aren’t working on the market. You can’t slice$ 880 billion of Medicaid, that means the shutdown of clinics and people being kicked off healthcare”, Khanna said on Fox News’s America’s Newsroom Monday. ” We have a vision to become a production power by investing in new steel companies in this nation, by having new manufacturing, by having fresh metal. We have a perspective to make sure every person has technology training … We have a eyesight for making childcare cheap, for making healthcare cheap so costs go down. That’s what the Democrats need to be focused on”.
Khanna went on to agree with Democratic government’s decision not to escort President Donald Trump into his first address to Congress of his next word. If Democrat officials had walked Trump in, Khanna suggested, it would have proven” that we have three branches of government, and that needs to be upheld”.

Following Trump’s success, the Democrat Party has struggled to find a head. Even though House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY ) attempted to call for a” strong, determined, and dignified Democratic presence in the chamber”, not every representative took his words to heart.
Rep. Al Green (D-TX ) was thrown out of the Capitol for loudly interrupting Trump as he spoke. Green was eventually censured for the eruption. Another Democratic members protested with symptoms and by wearing black or red.
