A Dhaka court on Tuesday ordered the arrest of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina‘s home,’ Sudhasadan,’ along with other qualities owned by her home users, who are in captivity in India. 124 bank transactions linked to her relatives also have been frozen, according to an official.
The decision was issued by Dhaka urban top special prosecutor Zakir Hossain Ghalib following an implementation by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
The seized attributes include property owned by Hasina’s child, Sajib Wazed Joy, child Saima Wazed Putul, girl Sheikh Rehana, and her kids, Tulip Siddique and Radwan Mujib Siddique. Hasina’s soon father, nuclear professor MA Wazed Miah, was nicknamed Sudha Miah, after whom ‘ Sudhasadan’ was named.
However, Bangladesh’s ministry of foreign affairs has lodged a rally with the American authorities over what it calls “false and fabricated” claims made by Hasina on social advertising and other websites.
In a political statement to India’s acting High Commissioner in Dhaka, Bangladesh urged New Delhi to take steps to prevent her from making for comment, which it says are inciting volatility.
On August 5, a student-led action ousted Hasina after months of protests and violent clashes that left over 600 people dying. The 77-year-old head fled to India, and an interval government led by Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus was installed.
