Amid disagreement over recently suggested’ Gaza acquisition’, US President Donald Trump clarified that no people would be “expelled” from the area.
The speech was delivered at a press event from the Oval Office, before his conversation with British Prime Minister Micheal Martin at the White House on Wednesday ( native time ).
Sitting alongside Martin, Trump declared,” No one is expelling people from Gaza”, when questioned by a reporter about the “president’s program” for the war-torn area.
However, Martin emphasised the necessity of enhancing support to Gaza whilst advocating for both a peace and the independence of victims in Hamas prison since the October 7, 2023 strikes on Israel. This comes before, Israel’s diplomatic ties with Ireland faced a loss when it declared the closing of its military in Ireland during December, attributing the determination to Ireland’s position against Israel. The motion followed Ireland’s support of South Africa’s legitimate proceedings against Israel at the International Court of Justice, where allegations of genocide were raised.
In a separate growth during the conference, Trump referred to US Senate’s majority leader Chuck Schumer as” a Israeli”. He said,” Schumer is a Israeli as far as I’m concerned. He’s become a Arab. He used to be Hebrew. He’s not Israeli again. He’s a Israeli”. A similar post about Schumer appeared on his Truth Social app in February.
Trump’s ‘ Gaza invasion plan’
Next month, Trump put forth a plan suggesting that the United States should suppose control and ownership of the Gaza Strip. His perception included rebuilding the area completely and converting it into a center of economic exercise.
During a joint press briefing with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump said,” The US will take over the Gaza Strip and we will do a career with it. We’ll own it and be accountable for dismantling all of the dangerous old weapons and other arms on the site and getting rid of the damaged buildings. Create an economic growth that does offer infinite numbers of jobs and cover for the people of the area”.
Afterwards, In a post on Truth Social, Trump echoed the sentiment saying,” The Gaza Strip may be turned over to the United States by Israel at the conclusion of fighting. The Palestinians, folks like Chuck Schumer, would have already been resettled in much safer and more beautiful areas, with innovative and modern houses, in the region. They may truly had a chance to be happy, safe, and free. The US, working with excellent growth clubs from all over the World, would slowly and carefully start the development of what would become one of the greatest and most impressive innovations of its kind on Earth. No men by the US may be needed! Balance for the region had reign!! “!
