A royal Irish chef who again” cooked for the Queen” has given a strong criticism of Meghan Markle’s latest eight-part Netflix life line, With Love, Meghan.
Michelin-starred Richard Corrigan, who runs two Mayfair organizations and has cooked for the Royal Family, shared his fear for the line while attending the Murphia List 2025 event in London, while noting a vital social distinction between California and the UK.
” I admit I watched With Love, Meghan– it’s a bit grandiose. I don’t like the facade. California is all quite Hollywood, it’s all very samey- Britain is not like that”, Richard told the Daily Mail.
” I don’t think anyone likes persons doing low TV. If you’re going to leave]royal life], get yourself a great plate, inspire and enjoy yourself, but don’t get a problem”, he added.
He drew parallels between the Sussexes and the historic event of Wallis Simpson and Edward VIII ( Queen Elizabeth II’s brother ), who abdicated in 1936 for relationship, according to Gloucestershire Live.
The Irish-born Corrigan sympathised with King Charles’s stating that:” You can never be responsible for who your kids marry, and you shouldn’t be — they have to make their way in the world”, he said.
” The princes are a great number — we all have unexpected people in the home”, he added.
Richard’s notes followed those of American actor Katherine Ryan, a longtime follower of Meghan Markle, who described the princess as appearing “manicured and quite forced” in the line.
According to the New York Post, Ryan, the” Glitter Room” performer and once a strong defender of Meghan Markle, has reconsidered her stance after watching the former” Suits” star’s new culinary show.
” I liked Meghan Markle. I was rooting for Meghan Markle… though she is really Hollywood– yet for me– and I don’t like that in people”, she shared on her” Telling Everyone All” radio.
” I see now, and maybe it’s simply the initiatives she’s choosing, it does feel like she has lied about whether she knew who Prince Harry was, and these information about her childhood change and don’t put up”, she added.
With Love, Meghan is the latest project from the Sussexes ‘ reported$ 100 million Netflix deal, but it has faced widespread criticism from both critics and fans. However, some writers praised it as an “amazingly pleasant display that had lots of great recipes and light-hearted conversation”.
The collection features Meghan sharing recipes, planting tips, and opening advice alongside several celebrities at a lovely California property.
Despite combined opinions of her Netflix show, Meghan remains cheerful, celebrating its second-season registration and sharing the news on her Instagram Stories on Friday. The streaming large confirmed that Season 2, now filmed, will debut in the fall.
