
Comedian and broadcast producer Rosie O’Donnell said on Tuesday she fled to Ireland only before President Donald Trump’s opening and will not return to the United States until it ’s “safe. ”
“I’m here in Ireland, and it ’s beautiful and warm, not physically, it ’s quite cold, ” O’Donnell announced on TikTok. “The folks are so comforting and so kind, so inviting, and I’m very pleased. ”
The Trump writer moved to Ireland on Jan. 15 and said she is in the process of getting British citizenship as she has European parents.

The 62-year-old says she left and dragged her 12-year-old girl with her because not all Americans have equal rights today.

“Although I was always somebody who thought I would move to another country, that ’s what I decided would be the best for myself and my 12-year-old child, and here we are, ” O’Donnell said.
While she misses her other children and friends, O’Donnell won’t return to the United States until she feels it is “safe, ” she said.
“ When, you know, it is safe for all citizens to have equal rights there in America, that ’s when we will consider coming back, ” she said. “It’s been heartbreaking to discover what’s happening socially and difficult for me personally. … The individual is democratic. ”
The Trump-O’Donnell conflict dates back to 2006 when O’Donnell attacked Trump on The Perspective after he said he would let the Miss USA winner stay her king if she entered rehab.
O’Donnell has frequently attacked Trump since he entered the political arena, and her shift to Ireland signs Trump’s success in the pair’s conflict, according to republicans on social media.

O’Donnell leaving is just another succeed, according to White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller.
“President Trump has gotten Rosie O’Donnell to self-deport from the United States of America, ” Miller told Sean Hannity of Fox News. “It was n’t directly one of our strategy promises, but it is a main first 100-day success. ”
