Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed on Monday that the United States do” not been providing military aid to the Russians” when asked about the military aid the U. S. has provided to Ukraine throughout the Russia-Ukraine battle.
Prior to Tuesday’s important meeting with Russian representatives in Saudi Arabia, Rubio was asked if he expected that the Russian delegation had “raise the continuation of military assistance” during the meeting. Investigators even asked Rubio what the United States was prepared to do with respect to martial support for Ukraine.
In response, Rubio said,” Sure, I imagine that they’ll raise that, and I’m sure that’ll be addressed. And hopefully, we’ll have a great gathering and we’ll have great news to declare on that front”.
The secretary of state added,” I can tell you this: We will not be providing military assistance to the Russians”.
When Rubio was again pressed to answer whether the United States would resume military support for Ukraine ahead of Tuesday’s gathering in Saudi Arabia, the secretary of state said,” Yeah, I mean, all of that came about because we felt that they were not committed to any sort of peace approach or not serious in conversations. If that changes, then naturally our position is change”.
