After spending nine times stranded in place, NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore were welcomed with an “alien” on Sunday when they docked with the SpaceX staff at the International Space Station.
On X, the International Space Station posted footage showing Hague wearing an alien face mask entering the aircraft’s nest. Before he gestures everything off-screen and runs absent, the video shows him floating towards Williams and Wilmore, who respond with glances.
The team arrived on Friday, March 14 at 7.03 p.m. ET from Nasa’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
As new staff members entered the boat’s bell rang as Sunita Williams opened the hatch, exchanging pleasantries and embraces. Hague removed his mysterious mask during a brief conversation with objective control and the 11-person Mission 72 crew assembled for a short exchange.
Williams addressed vision power following the congratulations by recording the meeting with photos. Williams remarked,” Houston, thank you for tuning in this first night.”
” It was a wonderful time,” he said. It’s wonderful to view our companions arrive. Thank you so much,” Williams continued.
Wilmore and Williams will travel with Nasa astronauts Hague and Roscosmos spacecraft Aleksandr Gorbunov, who have been stationed in place since September.
A” crew transfer time,” according to NASA, will take place over the coming days as astronauts get ready for their safe return. ” Crew-10 will meet the Mission 72 staff that includes Nasa pilots Nick Hague, Don Petitt, Sunita Williams, and Butch Wilmore, as well as Roscosmos spacecraft Alexey Gorbunov, Alexey Ovchinin, and Ivan Vagner. Before Crew-9 people Hague, Williams, Wilmore, and Gorbunov return to Earth following the team transfer time, the number of staff people on board will increase to 11 folks, according to the statement.
According to hydraulic issues, the Dragon start, which had originally been scheduled for March 12, was postponed. Williams and Wilmore have been on the ISS since June 2024, when their Boeing Starliner had a number of technical problems that prevented their scheduled eight-day profit.
Nasa pilots have recently donned masks like those from Superman, Spiderman, a Minion, Darth Vader, Waldo, and the Mario boys.
