In a startling fire attack in New York’s Times Square early on Sunday night, a person was” set on fire” and suffered severe body burns.
Officers discovered the 45-year-old target at 3.57 am on March 16 after receiving reports of a man being suffocated in flames at W. 41st Street and Seventh Avenue.
The victim was taken to New York Presbyterian Cornell by emergency medical services, where doctors determined his stable state.
The 45-year-old victim was shot in an emergency after the invasion, but videos from the image that were circulated online show him covered in burns as he was taken to an ambulance after the embers had extinguished.
The victim, who is shirtless and covered in a violet blanket, stands on the sidewalk while some emergency personnel are even visible on the scene. Additionally, the picture further reveals that the police officers are speaking with a person who is believed to be related to the victim.
Authorities confirmed the man had been set on fire, but they haven’t named the perpetrator. Whether this was a strange act or a precise assault has not been determined by the police.
The purpose is still undetermined, but reports suggest that an unidentified individual in blue clothes doused the victim in an ignoble substance before lighting him.
No arrests have been made so far in the research.
