Joshua Riibe, the 22-year-old Iowa gentleman who was last seen with Sudiksha Konanki before her enigmatic departure from the Dominican Republic location, has now given the police an order that he cannot be detained any more. His lawyer Beatriz Santana claimed in a court filing on Monday that his customer could not be detained for longer without facing charges. Riibe claims he pulled Konanki out of the ocean and saved her from drowning, but the authorities are questioning him because he is a resident of the beach. However, he was unable to disclose what would come next, which sparked rumors about whether he could really protect Konanki.
Konanki was originally believed to have drowned, but since no body has been discovered in the last ten days, the Doctor cops have not yet dismissed the possibility of foul play.
Because the authorities are questioning Riibe at the beach, he has not been taken into custody. He hasn’t been named an accused either, but police said he is a potential suspect in the case. After he refused to respond to his questions citing his lawyer’s suggestions, the police began grilling him. Riibe’s card has been seized, preventing him from leaving the country. He was not even permitted to leave the resort without the police, he was told at this time, though.
Joshua Riibe’s account of Konanki’s removal
Joshua Riibe claimed that his friends ‘ group had a table party with Konanki’s party before heading to the beach. Riibe claimed that he was left alone with Konanki and that they were stranded in the rough sea when people left the seaside and was taken away. By following Riibe’s example, he was able to rescue her from the ocean before stumbling to the shore. He claimed to have emailed Konanki to ask her if she was okay, but he received no response. And next he slept on the shore. She was absent when he woke up in the morning.
On the day of her disappearance, Konanki and Riibe had a party, according to surveillance images.
