Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, claimed that despite political efforts to broker a stalemate, Russia continued to play a role in the conflict. Zelenskyy stated in a blog on the social media platform X that Russia had” stole nearly another week – a year of conflict that only Russia wants,” following discussions in Jeddah and a request for a ceasefire from the United States.
He added that the nation would do everything to further improve and enhance politics. However, “every time is about defending our status, our people, and our self-reliance.”
The help of our army, all of our defense and security troops, and our state, he said,” we must realize that the help of our army, all of our defense and security forces, and our state determines everything.”
Along with defense minister Rustem Umerov and commander-in-chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, he also announced the reform of the nation’s armed forces, as well as the appointment of Andrii Hnatov as the new standard staff commander.
The Russian leader thanked everyone who acknowledges the value of Ukraine’s “defense and resilience,” including soldiers, civilians, and those organizing fundraisers to assist the nation’s armed forces. We must realize that we must protect Ukraine as long as the tenant is on our soil and as long as the air raid lights are blaring.
Zelenskyy’s notes come as tensions mount over the proposed peace. He previously criticized Vladimir Putin’s attitude, calling it “highly manipulative,” and asserting that Putin did not really get a peace but is reluctant to tell US President Donald Trump.
Putin responded by citing a number of issues, including concerns that Ukraine might get a military benefit, when the US administration had demanded that Russia consent to an absolute ceasefire. He also cited Russia’s recent victories on the field as a justification for the ongoing military activities.
Zelenskyy emphasized that despite the political pressure, Ukraine’s status is still unmistakable despite Russia’s ongoing complication. We don’t create circumstances that make things difficult. Russia actually does that,” he said.
