Former US President Ronald Reagan demanded that the” National spirit of voluntary service, cooperation, personal and community action, a soul that flows like a deep and powerful valley through our nation’s background,” be restored in his acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention.
As many as 200, 000 individuals each year response this noble telephone to participate in America’s national service plan, AmeriCorps, serving as members and volunteers across its different community support offshoots, only to be put through coaching modules that poison the very spirit of our nation.
In order to become members of the AmeriCorps, training programs have been explicitly teaching diversity, equity, and inclusion ( DEI ) concepts that indoctrinate them into having an anti-American worldview, one that thinks that the systems and institutions of our country were created in such a way to benefit some and disadvantage others.
In order to be” no racist” or “against racism,” AmeriCorps partners like Public Allies teach their army members that it is necessary to function both during and after their service times to rebuild the systems and organizations of America that are supposed to house racism and all other “isms” so they can create new ones that are more “equitable.” This is in clear violation of President Donald Trump’s subsequent executive buy” Ending Radical and Wasteful Government DEI Programs and Preferencing“, in which he declared that all La actions like this in the national government may be terminated and their financing pulled.
AmeriCorps is a La Gravy Train.
AmeriCorps announced a staggering$ 370 million funding improve last year to help 300″ Modern Programs Across the Nation,” which American taxpayers are simply funding to develop extreme activists and future leaders who will work to destroy and destroy our nation. Public Allies, mentioned above, is just one of the organizations churning them out.
Since AmeriCorps ‘ inception, City Year has been sending service volunteers to low-performing schools across the country as peer tutors. Volunteers go through their basic training academy to get ready for service.
Training in what? Equity, inclusion, diversity, and equity.
One City Year participant who enrolled in the Dallas Independent School District describes the “eye-opening” privilege line exercise she and other corps members had to perform as part of their DEI training to determine who was more privileged based on their wealth and skin color:
During the first month of training, the corps participated in a privilege line exercise which involved taking steps forward or backward to statements like “if you have experienced prejudice because of the color of your skin, take two steps backward”. The intention behind it was to show how corps members come from a variety of social backgrounds, some of whom were very wealthy and well-off, while many corps members of color were more in the back seat. A panel of Dallas Independent School District ( ISD ) representatives who visited Basic Training Academy to speak with the corps about what goes on in Dallas ‘ educational system was one of the many memorable experiences.
A Teach for America ( TFA ) alumna proudly proclaimed to CEO Elisa Villanueva Beard,” I was exposed to DEI and identity work for the first time in my life by being in TFA”.
In a way of compliance or hiding?
TFA recently changed the URL for their previous website, which states they “build the foundational skills and mindsets of an aspiring anti-racist educator” as part of their training, and moved other DEI material behind a “member only” login to ensure they continue to receive the$ 50 million they receive from government sources.
Other programs pushing DEI through AmeriCorps have freshly scrubbed their websites, or have disguised DEI by calling it unassuming words like “resilience” to fly under the radar of Trump’s executive order, but it doesn’t mean that their three-decade-long pursuit of being a factory for social justice zealots is ending anytime soon. It is now time to look into AmeriCorps, its various branches, and the state programs their funding supports in light of the Department of Government Efficiency ( DOGE ) cutting fraud, waste, and abuse in the federal government.
State Service Commissions Promote Social Justice
State Service Commissions— which allocate federal AmeriCorps funding they receive to state programs through annual grant competitions and administer special volunteer initiatives that encourage participation — are no better. Grants to organizations that provide volunteer services that are actually beneficial to the community are included in grants to organizations that support progressive goals.
The state service commission for Utah, UServe Utah, which received$ 15 million in federal funding in 2023, is a prime example of how fraud, waste, and abuse are occurring through AmeriCorps programs.
UServe Utah gave money to marketing firm Declarative to create the Community Engagement Pathways survey and subsequent toolkits.
Some of the path names on the website of UServe Utah’s website have recently been changed to omit their true intention of becoming activists and community organizers. As of January 1, 2025, the previous toolkits for each pathway have also been eluded from the internet in an unidentified way and replaced with a more sanitized one.
What are they hiding?
The Social Entrepreneurship &, Corporate Social Responsibility Pathway toolkit, which was previously released, stated that it was intended to train personnel for “working or influencing businesses in the private sector to adopt ethical business practices, such as environmental, social, and governance practices.”  ,
ESG is a reporting tool that operates like a cartel, forcing businesses to collect data on and report metrics that reflect their commitment to leftist political policies in order to look favorable to banks and investors for capital.
Utah is All In on DEI, UServe.
According to the” Community Organizing &Social Justice ] Activism” toolkit,” training to become a peer educator in diversity, equity and inclusion” was one of the ways that volunteers could engage with their community in that direction. Similarly, the toolkit for the Direct Service Pathway mentioned” Working with youth at an LGBTQIA resource center” to fulfill that service path through DEI.
Through UServe Utah, Sui Lang L. Panoke, senior vice president of DEI at Zions Bank and the author of the Rethink RACISM program, was chosen to speak on behalf of the 2023 Active Engagement retreat. When sending their children to a UServe Utah retreat that focuses on honing skills for volunteerism, do Utah parents and guardians believe they are teaching this to their kids? More broadly, is this what the American taxpayer envisions their hard-earned money going towards to foster a spirit of service in our nation? Not likely.
A Volunteer-to-Activist Pipeline
On the whole, the AmeriCorps programs and many of its volunteers are being used as boots on the ground for progressive political causes during their service, and also afterward as they are given a leg up to leadership positions in many of left-leaning organizations that are AmeriCorps partners.
In addition to creating DEI youth training videos for “family planning,” developing a training curriculum for professionals and volunteers serving LGBT youth, AmeriCorps job listings include initiatives like identifying gay-straight alliance groups and their status within area schools, etc.
Volunteers who are indoctrinated through AmeriCorps ‘ DEI-laden trainings are given the opportunity to impress these ideologies onto the youth they mentor as” Student Success Coaches” and have access to an easy path to becoming teachers as a result of this program. For example, a self-described emotional, queer, homeless person named Miguel Johnson was plucked off the streets, trained by City Year for a few weeks, and then was placed into a middle school in Kansas City as a mentor where he encouraged a child to embrace his queer identity. He intends to work in education after his service year, according to the article that describes this.
Scaling Service Programs Predisposes to Disaster
Funding for the various AmeriCorps programs and how much corps members can earn and how they can serve has been scaled considerably over the last few years. It’s logical to wonder whether this could be a plan to ensure every person will be subjected to corps training that’s intended to create DEI operatives and change agents that call for America’s governing structure to be more in line with socialism and/or communism given that a recent article calling for Trump to link civilian and military service was co-written by City Year’s founder Alan Khazei.
This was not the intention of President Reagan. If AmeriCorps is allowed to continue unchecked, our nation’s volunteer service program will poison more and more citizens against the real spirit of our country and persist in producing activists that will do everything they can to destroy our culture, our representative democracy, and the individualistic values that truly set America apart. It’s time to look into AmeriCorps.
