When the anti-Israel protests started in the late 2023 semester, Lewis Wilson and Mario Torres were staffs at Columbia University’s Hamilton Hall. What they saw is now a part of an EEOC investigation into the university’s stunning acceptance of sexist practices that had become a norm of hate.

The two staffs ‘ complaint claims that the school retaliated against them because they consistently reported racist graffiti and other workplace mishaps that made them feel uneasy. The school did little to address the issue from soon 2023 until the acquisition of Hamilton Hall in April, when the two staffs were assaulted and hurt.
Wilson and Torres were given the task of removing the vulgar painting, which included several symbols, that had been drawn on the building’s walls and floors. A security guard who was taking pictures of the painting claimed that because the artwork was “free speech,” it was not “vandalism” and could not be erased, the authorities would never follow up.
According to the security officer, Columbia did little in response to the incident, the problem continues. It did not improve creating safety. Columbia did not, to Mr. Torres ‘ information, conduct an investigation into the origins of Hamilton Hall.
When Hamilton Hall was taken over by Pro-Hamas protesters the night of April 29, 2024, both gentlemen were at work.  ,
When the invasion took place, Torres and Wilson were working their typical over shifts. According to his grievance, Riotters constantly called him” Jew-lover” when he refused to accept the payment and attempted to pay him to leave the scene. Similar claims are made in Wilson’s issue.
” Mr. Wilson begged the rioters to let him leave the building in the hall. He recalls saying,” I work around. Permit me leave,” the complaint reads. ” The protesters laughed at and mocked him in response. He recalls being told,” You work for the Jews” and “You’re a Zionist.”
Torres and James Carlson, a skilled advocate and animal rights advocate who organized the Hamilton Hall invasion, also had an argument that night. Although the problem does not specifically mention Carlson, it does appear to go into more detail about the incident, with one instance mentioning a “masked guy in a Columbia sweatshirt who began fiercely shoving” Torres.

Because the government refused to do anything about the symbols that kept appearing inside Hamilton Hall, Wilson, who is black, was discovered removing them.
According to Torres ‘ complaint, Columbia eventually started throwing away the chalk that had been left in the classrooms so criminals wouldn’t have anything to write with because they were so offensive and Columbia’s silence was so unfavorable.
But, his boss reprimanded Mr. Torres for doing so.

When she testified before Congress soon after the Hamilton Hall invasion, Columbia’s then-president, Minouche Shafiq, appeared to be a deer caught in headlights . An antisemitic mob attacked two janitors inside Columbia’s historic Hamilton Hall after President [Minouche ] Shafik declared that the university had become “unsafe for everyone,” and both men’s complaints recalled the Hamilton Hall takeover in April of last year.
” Columbia had really become dangerous for people, including the two staffs who were confined to Hamilton Hall. And for these two gentlemen, Title VII was violated by Columbia for decades, the grievances continued.

Eventually, the officers arrived and ejected the criminals after the staff had been roughed up and terrified by the activists. However, the two staffs had to use their bare fingers to escape Hamilton Hall.
Torres was constantly struck on his back by another protesters during that altercation. He finally discovered a way out that had been blocked by flap relationships and a motorcycle lock after repeatedly navigating to blocked-off escapes. One of the rioters removed the flap relationships and let him out after hearing his appeals.
Wilson had immediately attempted to flee after realizing the protesters were taking control of the city after being separated from Torres during the chaos. According to the problem, protesters regularly smashed equipment into him and pushed him as they fought to get out.
He recalls saying,” I work around. Allow me leave,” the complainant alleged. ” The protesters laughed at and mocked him in response. He recalls being told,” You work for the Jews, and “You’re a Zionist.” Someone finally broke a doorway and actually pushed Mr. Wilson out of the building.
Columbia’s hatred is so rampant that state authorities should really consider resuming the school’s administration.  ,
