The disconnect between the public’s portrayal of Republicans and Democrats has always been bipolar, but it’s gotten even more extreme since Donald Trump entered politicians. The internet had kid mittens while with Obama and Biden, and with Trump, they brought a buzzsaw.
There was nothing about it that was good or sensible.
Another reason Leavitt’s achievement has been so impressive is that it isn’t a highwire act to be a Democrat’s spokesperson and to answer fawning issues. There is no need for any particular ability.  ,

Karoline Leavitt has been hitting it out of the area, to put it mildly. And because the mainstream media isn’t really criticizing what she says, they’re also criticizing her privately, which is why we know she’s been effective. That’s the telling mark of a strong strike.
