Gov. As major corporations continue to leave the Golden State, Governor Gavin Newsom (D-CA ) increased his personal outreach to business CEOs.

The government has reportedly sent California-based business leaders cellphones with their strong line inserted since November. According to the mayor’s office, the California State Protocol Foundation, a nonprofit organization, pays for the “burner” phones.

Individual notes from the government to business leaders were included in Newsom’s plan to expand ties with the private sector via smartphone.

According to Politico,” If you ever want anything, I’m a phone call away,” read a statement written to one professional.

” This was the mayor’s plan to establish a closer relationship with business leaders in the state. The opinions has been good and has resulted in useful conversations, according to Newsom’s communications director, Izzy Gardon.

OUTMISSION COST CALIFORNIA$ 24B IN DEPARTED INCOME AS POORER PEOPLE MOVE IN

Newsom’s decision came as a flurry of businesses departed California to set up shop in different states, especially Texas. Elon Musk has relocated three of his multibillion-dollar businesses out of California, including Tesla, X, and Space X, while people, including Oracle, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, and Realtor.com, have also left in recent months. Since January 2019, 304 businesses have left the Golden State, according to a statement released by the California Policy Center for 2021.

According to an analysis conducted by the Santa Clara Business Law Chronicle, one of the reasons why some businesses opted to travel to more business-friendly says like Texas was due to the state’s demanding taxes laws and strict regulations.
