
At the Airport Manatee in Palmetto, Florida, a small airplane crashed into a delivery truck, leaving two old people with injuries on Tuesday.
The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office announced in a media release on Tuesday that deputies were working with the Federal Aviation Administration to look into a helicopter crash in Florida that resulted in the injury of two people. Law enforcement officials confirmed that the Federal Aviation Administration is now “leading the analysis”
Police representatives responded to “reports of a broken airplane” at the Airport Manatee just before 10 a.m. on Tuesday, according to a media release from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office stated in a press release on Tuesday that “witnesses reported that the antique single-engine Aeronca Champ had a problem quickly after takeoff.” The plane “veered to the left, clipped a wire, and finally crashed into an empty pickup truck parked nearby.”

According to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office,” Deputies discovered 70-year-old John Sikirica  in the front desk of the plane with apparent wounds.” Allen Maxwell, 86, was in the back seat when he managed to climb out of the airplane while also being hurt.
The North River Fire Rescue workers, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, assisted in the pilot’s recovery from the wreckage of the plane. The sheriff’s office explained that both of the old men received health care at the picture of the plane crash and were eventually airlifted to nearby hospitals with “non-life-threatening” accidents.
The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office confirmed in Tuesday’s press release that no wounds were reported on the ground in connection with the airport fall. Additionally, the sheriff’s office pointed out that Florida Power and Light, an energy service provider, responded to the crash site to “repair the broken powerline.”
According to Fox 13, Randy Warren, the public information officer for Manatee County, confirmed that the cause of Tuesday’s fall has not been determined.
