Former President Joe Biden’s child Hunter and child Ashley will no longer be protected by the Secret Service, according to President Donald Trump on Monday night.
Hunter Biden, who has been a Trump destination for decades, would drop his safety “effectively,” according to Trump in a social media post, adding that “he is currently vacationing in, of all locations, South Africa, where the Human Rights of people have been severely questioned.” Since taking office, Trump has been talking about both his father and the Biden home on a regular basis since his return. And he has spoken extensively nowadays about what he thinks is the situation of pale farmers in post-apartheid South Africa.
Trump’s post came after a release he regularly reads, the New York Post, published an opinion piece about Biden’s safety information and vacation in South Africa. A reporter questioned Trump about the subject on Monday evening while he was touring the Kennedy Center. Trump remarked,” This is the first time I’ve heard about it.” He continued,” taking a look at it” and said it was “really fascinating.” He posted a short while later.
Anthony Guglielmi, a Secret Service spokesperson, said: “We are aware of the president’s decision to terminate protection for Ashley Biden and Hunter. The Secret Service will comply and is actively working with the protective details and the White House to ensure compliance as soon as possible.” A representative for the Biden family declined to comment. This latest setback for Hunter Biden came days after he told a judge that he had “suffered a significant downturn in his income and has significant debt in the millions of dollars range” and therefore could not continue with a lawsuit against a former Trump aide.
