
Karoline Leavitt, a press secretary for the White House, criticized former U.S. Institute of Peace mind George Moose and other company employees for stifling attempts by the Department of Government Efficiency to cut the agency.
After a disagreement with DOGE employees on Monday, law enforcement on the agency’s building actually escorted Big out of the tower. According to a report from , the Daily Caller, the agency allegedly impaired internet connections and removed locks from outside doors as part of an obstruction work.
When a reporter asked Leavitt during the White House press presentation,” We were made aware of this story by folks at DOGE at Elon Musk‘s staff and also at the State Department who were unable to get this building.”
Leavitt continued,” And it became very obvious that there was a conscious effort by the rogue administrators at the United States Institute of Peace to really physically barricade themselves inside the building to stop political appointees from working at the course of the president of the United States,” Lake continued.
This year, institute board members who were fired filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration, alleging unlawful termination.
According to the lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on Tuesday, five of the ousted board members are asking for” the immediate intervention of this Court to stop Defendants from completing the unlawful dismantling of the Institute and irreparably impairing Plaintiffs ‘ ability to carry out their vital peace promotion and conflict resolution work as tasked by Congress.
USIP has long worked to end conflicts around the world and was founded by congressional action in 1984  .
Leavitt, however, defended their grievances as immoral “resistance” from government bureaucrats.

Leavitt claimed that staff reached out to the MPD to stop Depends employees from entering. They “barricaded the gates,” they said. They distributed internal brochures to each other to essentially stop these people from entering the building.
She continued,” This is what DOGE and this administration are dealing with.” There is a weight from administrators who don’t want to see this area change. This is unacceptable behaviour because President Trump was elected with a mission to change and apply change.
