According to The Daily Caller News Foundation, the Biden administration “deliberately buried a final draft of a research that would have undermined its January 2024 determination to halt liquefied natural gas clearances.”
Additionally, according to sources at the Department of Energy,” The Biden DOE finalized a draft of the study in 2023 and later buried it because the initial version’s findings would have contradicted the administration’s justification for the LNG freeze.”
By the end of September 2023, the Biden DOE had largely completed the final draft of the LNG impacts investigation, according to sources from Trump DOE. Top Biden officials were then set to receive that document quickly. According to sources close to the study, that particular incarnation of the research discovered that boosting U.S. LNG export may actually result in a decrease in global emissions in comparison to other situations. The sources told DCNF that the Biden DOE “appears to had deleted several sites that appeared in the September 2023 draft type from what became the final version of the statement released to the public at the end of 2024 .” Additionally, the September 2023 edition of the research “was not released publicly.”  ,

Johnson raised the matter, but Biden insisted that he had not complied with any such attempt when he did so.

The Trump Department of Energy granted Venture Global CP2LNG’s five LNG import approval on Wednesday from Cameron Parish, Louisiana. In a Green press release, the Trump administration stated that” this behavior reflects yet another step in its commitment to restoring American energy dominance.”  ,
