University of Pennsylvania under investigation for permitting female participation in the women’s swimming crew
Due to the University of Pennsylvania’s failing to outlaw men from women’s sports, President Donald Trump’s administration has withheld$ 175 million from the institution.
The school’s “policies forcing people to compete with men in activities” were made the decision, according to a blog on X Wednesday from the White House.
A White House official told The New York Post that the$ 175 million amount, which came from the Department of Defense and the Department of Health and Human Services, made up roughly 20 % of the total federal funds the college received last year.
The White House has not, however, formally informed the institution of the money ice.
A UPenn spokesman told Fox News that the university is aware of internet information that Penn received$ 175 million in federal money, but has not yet received any formal notification or information.
However, it is important to point out that Penn has often adhered to NCAA and Ivy League rules governing student cooperation on athletic teams. The director stated that we have always followed the rules that apply to all of our NCAA and Ivy League gaze institutions, and that we still do so now.
The money delay comes in response to Trump’s most recent professional order, which reads” Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports.”
The leader stated that the order may protect women from being bullied, hurt, and treated badly, and that” there will be no national money” for institutions that do not comply with the order, according to The College Fix.
The U.S. Department of Education is now looking into UPenn for possible Title IX violations, according to Fox News, and the school could lose all of its money.
William” Lia” Thomas, a trans-identical man swimmer, was permitted to join the women’s swimming team in the 2021-2020 time.
A White House official told The Post that “UPenn notably permitted a female to thrive on its women’s swimming team, resisting numerous records hard-earned by women, and granting the thoroughly alive female access to the locker room.”
According to The Daily Pennsylvanian, three former University players who fought alongside Thomas that year have filed a lawsuit alleging Title IX transgressions.
Additionally, the Department of Education recently requested that Thomas and all other trans-identifying people who competed against women stop holding names and information that they had previously held.
San Jose State University is also facing federal charges for permitting trans athlete Blaire Fleming to play on the women’s tennis staff, according to Fox News.
According to The College Fix, five groups voluntarily gave up their matches in favor of the adult person.
