In a crossing, a Muslim student claimed the driver didn’t see them and that he had tried to reach them.
According to a College Fix assessment of discrimination reports, police records, and other public documents, at least four anti-Muslim charges against Indiana University have been disproven after closer investigation.
Additionally, a law firm hired by the school noted that school authorities did not inform the school group that two charges had turned out to be unconclusive.
Other studies of abuse and violence lacked accompanying police reports.
One biased statement, obtained by The Fix via a public records request, claimed that a group of students wearing Jewish colors and a Trump flag allegedly struck them with a water jug.
When they were standing in Dunn Meadow, the kids verbally harassed them with the following statements: “fag,” “looked like a low]testosterone man,” “if you go to gaza they’ll kill you,” and “physically assaulted them.”
This event most likely took place last spring at a prominent pro-Palestinian camp on the school. Through a request for public records that included the 2023-24 school season, The Fix obtained bias information. This invasion hasn’t been identified by the police.
Both the Indiana University and the Bloomington Police Department were unable to locate any information or documentation regarding these situations.
In the past month, Cedric Harris, IU’s associate professor for scholar assistance and bias schooling, did not respond to multiple email and phone inquiries for information. The Fix inquired about the findings and quality of the incidents that were covered by the partiality statement.
A public information officer for the Bloomington Police Department wrote to The Fix via message that” we would not have taken a statement that occurred in Dunn Meadow because that would have required the Milligrams Police Department,” according to the public records officer. I even conducted a search nearby, but I couldn’t find something that our company was dispatched to.
Campus officers, in addition, do not have a copy of the police report for the state that” two white men students wearing Jewish flags and Israeli student firm hoodies” yelled “terrorist bitch,”” blanket head,” and “go back to where you came from” at a Muslim woman student. This most likely occurred next spring.
When The Fix contacted a nearby shrine, the mosque immediately claimed to be aware of the kids involved in all four situations. In the end, the Islamic Center of Bloomington did not, however, provide contact info for the alleged patients.
When allegations of bias appear to be unsupported, the university usually does not inform students.
Two more incidents were covered in a long report that the college was asked to review its actions in the wake of the encampment’s reported events last spring.
According to the report by Cooley LLP,” a number of individuals described to us an event of a vehicle attempting to run over two Memorial students wearing hijabs off-campus.” According to one student, “at least one pupil had heard that the event was eventually refuted.”
A feminine student wearing a dress was waiting at a vehicle stop on college when a vehicle approached and threatened to remove her dress, according to the report.

Campus officers “investigated and examined video images from around the time of the incident, but we were able to identify the car or the driver.” For this event and another one that occurred in December, the school has not yet responded to a College Fix police statement demand.
Another issue claimed that two women Muslim students were being allegedly threatened by a car as it approached them. This grievance was reported to the Bloomington Police Department. According to the official police document, which The Fix obtained through a request for public records, law enforcement determined that no violence had occurred following a review of the video surveillance and conversations with the two feminine subjects.
BPD conducted an investigation into the event but did not file claims. The woman in the crosswalk was not seen by the pilot, according to the law firm. The leadership “does never make a statement about either event or inform the public of the police’s definitive findings.”
The law firm claimed to have analyzed “hundreds of hours of video images” and “more than 10,000 documents” as well as conducting on-campus discussions. Sarah Donaleski, the author of the report, and IU advertising representatives Mark Bode and Vic Ryckaert were asked for additional information by The Fix. The Fix inquired about the two claims in their investigation after finding any supporting evidence in the discrimination reports. In the last fortnight, none of them responded to letters or phone calls.
The Fix even inquired about the university’s failure to notify the campus of these two additional allegations that the law firm’s review alleged were being closed.
Many email requests for comment were not responded to by the IU Divestment Coalition or the Palestine Solidarity Committee. The Fix questioned who the potential subjects of the alleged love crimes might be and whether they had any additional information.
