Despite not having any connections to the feared Tren de Aragua ( TdA ) gang, Venezuelan migrants deported from the US claim that their loved ones were improperly transported there.
Many Venezuelans in the US are terrified of receiving comparable treatment as a result of the contentious arrests carried out under US President Trump’s leadership.
According to the BBC, Myrelis Casique López had been anticipating Francisco José Garca Casique’s return to Venezuela. She was shocked to see him returning home in televised images from El Salvador, where 238 Citizens had been flown to a high-security prison, but she was shocked to see him.
The photographs showed heavily armed security forces leading men with shaved faces and chained limbs.
” It’s him. She said her son was the one who was able to identify him in a jail photo with a tattoo on his arm and a head that was bent. She resisted saying,” He doesn’t belong to any legal group, either in the US or Venezuela… he’s not a judicial.” He has been a hair, he said.
She thinks his unlawful confinement was caused by his tattoos, rose, and family members ‘ titles.
Some other people also worry that their family were misidentified as a result of body art.
Trump’s reprisals
Trump argued that the US was facing an “invasion” by a legal organization linked to robberies, deal deaths, and blackmail, and that the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 provided justification for the widespread imprisonment. He claimed that TdA members were engaged in “irregular war” against the US because of their connections to Venezuela’s chairman Nicolás Maduro’s government.
All Cuban citizens who were suspected gang members but who were no constitutional US residents were “liable to been apprehended, restricted, secured, and removed as Alien Enemies” under his decree.
The action was brought in court. When the aircraft carrying the refugees was already in global aircraft, Judge Hames Boasberg made an attempt to stop imprisonment. The Trump presidency continued with the imprisonment because his decision was certainly contained in a written order.
Trump took to Truth Social and blamed Democrats for allowing the emigrants into the US in the second position once they arrived at the Peruvian prison. Crooked Joe Biden and the Radical Left Democrats have sent villains into our land, they say. How dare they say that? he posted. He also praised El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele for his assistance, saying,” We will not miss.”
Senator Marco Rubio echoed Trump’s sentiments, thanking Bukele for facilitating the payments and saying that “hundreds of violent offenders were sent out of our land.”
Horrible problems exist in El Salvador’s mega-jail
Of the 238 deportedees, 137 were suspected TDA people, according to Daily Mail, while the remainder included 101 Venezuelans who had been removed under Title 8 and 23 Salvadoran MS-13 people, including two well-known group officials.
The Terrorism Confinement Centre ( Cecot ) now houses the detainees in brutal conditions. Reports reveal horrifying crowding, disease, and a comprehensive lack of food, clothing, medication, and hygiene.
Individuals are crammed into tissues of 70 people, kept locked up for all but 30 minutes a day, and forbidden from entering or visiting other cells. They sleep on metal beds without cushions, which 800 strongly armed guards and CCTV cameras monitor throughout the day. The couple amenities in the prison, including dining halls, crack rooms, and a gym, are solely for the guards.
The circumstances are intolerable for communities like Ms. Casique’s. She cried out,” I wish it wasn’t him, because he didn’t deserve to be transferred it.”
The family of Mervin Yamarte, another deportee, collapsed in pain after recognising her child in the video, according to the BBC. She said,” I threw myself on the ground, saying that God couldn’t do this to my brother.” Yamarte had no known group relations, just like Francisco Garca. He enjoyed Sunday sports and long swings in a tortilla manufacturer.
