After a large fire at an electronic station caused a widespread power outage, disrupting planes and affecting thousands of homes in east London, London’s Heathrow Airport was forced to suspend operations until evening on March 21.
The fire, which broke out late on Thursday evening, caused a major damage to the station, leading to power outages in the area. More than 16, 300 houses lost power, according to Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks, and about 150 folks had to be evacuated from nearby towns.
We have no other option but to near Heathrow for the entire day on Friday, according to a declaration from the airport.

Authorities have not yet identified the cause of the fire, and there is no set date for a complete recovery of energy. One of the busiest airports in the world, Heathrow, has issued a warning of continuing disruption in the coming weeks and is urging passengers to stay informed with their flights.
