The US Coast Guard was offloading 45, 000 pounds of cocaine and 50 pounds of marijuana worth more than$ 500 million, according to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on Thursday.
Noem said,” Now is a traditional time, now,” citing the Coast Guard’s announcement to seize 45, 000 pounds of illegal medication off the shores of Mexico, Central America, and South America during an appearance at Port Everglades, Florida on Thursday. Over 22.5 loads or 45, 000 pounds of methamphetamine and 50 pounds of marijuana are scheduled to be unloaded and taken out of circulation in Port Everglades, which is worth more than half a billion bucks.
Noem characterized the Coast Guard’s function as an “unprecedented arrest of unlawful drugs” that included 14 Coast Guard Cutter Mohawk and Coast Guard Cutter Stone crew incursions of illegal drugs. The Coast Guard cutter worked with a number of law enforcement organizations and aircraft defensive fleet air personnel to finish the interdictions, according to the secretary of country security.
Noem praised the Department of Homeland Security’s work under the Trump administration, saying that “in the first 100 days of President Trump’s presidency, he’s currently delivered on his campaign claims of making America healthy again and helping the American people become more secure as well.”

Noem cited the Coast Guard’s seizure and loading of 45, 000 pounds of cocaine as a “milestone” in Trump’s effort to secure American communities, prevent illegal drugs from entering the country, and prevent them from being smuggled into the country.
Noem praised the recent accomplishments of the Coast Guard, saying,” The brave men and women of the Coast Guard do work every day, 24/7, and they do it with excellence.” We can all admire their hard work, resilience, and patriotism, and it goes unnoticed.
Noem claimed that$ 517 million in illegal drugs” will never reach American communities” as a result of the Coast Guard’s recent operations.
Noem continued,” That means fewer families will be torn apart by addiction, fewer lives will be lost due to overdoses, fewer communities will be safer, and fewer resources will be thrown into the hands of dangerous, violent cartels that seek to do all of us harm.”
