The original US attorney for the eastern area of Virginia, Jessica Aber, was discovered dead at her house on Saturday night. Authorities are now looking into the sudden passing of the well-known prosecutor, who was just 43 years old.
According to reports, Alexandria police officers picked up Aber’s figure shortly before 9:20 am after being called about an “unresponsive person.” According to the New York Post, the situation surrounding her death are still under investigation, and the official cause may be determined by the Virginia medical examiner’s office.
Aber, a Biden appointment, resigned in January as a result of the change in control of the presidency to President Donald Trump. She began her recognized legal career by working as the district’s assistant US attorney from 2009 until her 2015 appointment as the assistant attorney general’s assistant attorney general. She was nominated by President Joe Biden for the Eastern District of Virginia’s leading attorney position in 2021, and the republic confirmed her with a unanimous vote.
In a speech released on Saturday afternoon, US Attorney Erik Siebert, who presently holds the position, expressed his deep grief over Aber’s moving.
We are beyond thoughts overjoyed to learn about the transferring of our friend and former coworker, US Attorney Jessica Aber. She was unmatched as a chief, coach, and counsel, and she is “absolutely unique as a human being,” Siebert said.
Studies into her dying are still being conducted.
