Foreman, a two-time world champion, won gold at the 1968 Olympics before claiming the heavy name in 1973 with a beautiful victory over Joe Frazier. He is best remembered for his 1974 battle to Muhammad Ali in the famous” Rumble in the Jungle,” where Ali’s “rope-a-dope” approach eluded the energy boxer, leading to an eighth-round knock damage.
After making an unexpected retirement in 1977, Foreman became an ordained minister before making an unanticipated comeback ten years later. He defeated Michael Moorer to reclaim the heavyweight title in 1994, making him the oldest champion in boxing history.
