Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL ) claimed that after years of trying to return the funds, Florida finally gave the federal government$ 878 million. Elon Musk and Department of Government Performance leaders met to finalize the deal.

He claimed the Biden Administration “attached ideological cords” to the return of the funds.

DeSantis posted on X:” For decades, Florida has been trying to return federal money to the federal government because of the intellectual strings the Biden Administration has attached. They don’t even figure out how to take it.” ” Now, I met with @elonmusk and the DOGE group, and we completed this in the same time. Different states may support DOGE’s work in the same way that Florida did.

The state is still looking for surplus federal funding to return to the government, according to an email sent by DeSantis ‘ office to the Treasury Department.

The State of Florida is fully returning$ 878, 112, 000 in tax money to the federal government as part of DOGE’s work, according to the internet.” The Governor DeSantis and his meeting with Elon Musk now. We may even look for another unused or overused federal funds that Florida has received, and we will check if any additional payments can be requested.

The government of Florida stated that he hopes the action will serve as a model for different states to follow.

Musk made a response to the news on his social media account. According to Musk,” About a billion of your tax dollars have been saved.”

Last month, DeSantis made the announcement of Florida’s DOGE work force. He claimed that the task force may also conduct an audit of the state’s educational system as well as of local and state governments. He added that to help him achieve his government-slimming objectives, artificial brains and IT professionals may be employed.

    Monitoring THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT’S PERFORMANCE

DeSantis stated that” Florida has established the standard for fiscally conservative management, and our new Florida DOGE work pressure will do even more to support the people of Florida.”

” It will evaluate position university and college operations and spending, use artificial intelligence to further study state agencies to detect hidden waste, and yet audit the spending habits of local companies to shine the light on waste and bloat,” he added.
