The pages of New York University was apparently replaced by a concept displaying allegedly student test results and a racist term on Saturday, according to reports.
The affected website displayed a statement alongside figures that claimed to show SAT and ACT results, as well as GPAs for students in 2024, organized by civilization, instead of the standard software.
The message made reference to the US Supreme Court’s decision in June 2023 to forbid cultural affirmative action in college applications. Cultural affirmative action in university admissions was ruled unlawful on June 29, 2023. NYU continued regardless, according to Computer N-Gy Exploitation ( CNE).
The hacker’s identity is still unknown, but it’s possible that he also hacked into NYU’s database using the X control” @niggy.” The person has a history of pursuing educational institutions, and he has previously claimed responsibility for an online university of Minnesota attack in 2003.
On X, @niggy wrote,” There’s a lot more information from their statistics warehouse that could be further analyzed.” The bare minimum of what I posted was “redacted” to show they were breaking the law.
According to the allegedly leaked data, light pupils had higher GPAs while Asian students performed better on standardized testing. The saying” TOP SECRET//NIGINT//NONORM” was pronounced at the top of the damaged site, though its significance is unknown.
NYU has not yet released an official declaration regarding the incident.
