A North Korean community traveling to the United States has been missing for more than a year after driving through the Grand Canyon.
While on vacation in the United States, Jiyeon Lee, 33, along with her family Taehee Kim, 59, and aunt Junghee Kim, 54, disappeared. They were reported missing earlier this month when they were traveling from the Grand Canyon to Las Vegas, according to the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials claimed that the hired bright BMW’s last known location was found on Interstate 40 in Williams, Arizona, using GPS. The capital, which is 35 minutes north of Flagstaff, is known as Grand Canyon National Park’s entry point, according to ABC News.
According to Jon Paxton, a Coconino County Sheriff’s Office director, who spoke to ABC News on Friday, the latest main issue is a smartphone signal that was discovered close to the location of a significant federal incident. The three lost people may have been involved in the incident, which took place on March 13; according to Paxton.
Paxton requested that anyone with pertinent information from the area at that time phone the coroner’s office.
He confirmed that officials have searched the area thoroughly, including hospitals and company roads, but they have had no luck.
” We spent three days looking,” Paxton said. We’ve looked through every possible area and all the turns we had.

The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office made a Twitter post.
On March 17, the people were scheduled to travel to South Korea from San Francisco. According to Paxton, household issues developed when they were unaware of the flight’s status.
He claimed that the North Korean embassy in Los Angeles reported a lost people report the following day to the sheriff’s office.
The consulate general of South Korea in Los Angeles, which regulates Arizona, confirmed on Friday that the country’s embassy general had “provided all relevant details to the specialists” and that it had submitted the missing persons report on behalf of the home.
The speech continued,” We have dispatched a president to the location and are working closely with the police to find the missing persons as quickly as possible.”
