If Kamala Harris decides to run for governor of California in 2026, President Donald Trump offered some advice to her.

Trump stated in a statement while aboard Air Force One that speaking to the media is unquestionably something Harris needs to do more of.

She reportedly needs to begin doing discussions, which is one thing she needs to do. You can’t get away with one of them. He [Biden ] did no interviews during COVID, and he got away with it because of COVID,” Trump said, referring to former president Joe Biden’s “basement” campaign strategy in 2020 when he was absent from a traditional campaign trail amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Harris and her running mate Gov. Biden were forced to run a simplified plan in 2024 despite Biden’s abrupt withdrawal from the competition. In the almost three weeks they had to angle themselves to electors, Tim Walz (D-MN) noticed a media absence. Most of the performances she made were made by Democratic-friendly visitors like Alex Cooper, the co-hosts of The View, and Oprah Winfrey, the show’s co-hosts.

Walz, who is not opposing a presidential campaign run for president in 2028, lamented the media’s media-shy strategy and claimed they” should have just rolled the stones and done the community halls.” But, former campaign staffers argued that Walz did not do well in his performances, most prominently in the vice presidential debate.

At the end of the summers, Harris has set a date for her next political decision. In the current election, according to recent polls, she would be in the lead with 57 % of state’s Democratic primary voters saying they favor Harris.

Harris ‘ rumors for a run for governor come as governor. Gavin Newsom (D-CA ) is only allowed to serve for a term and is widely regarded as a front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2028.
