Despite a momentary pause in military support from the United States, US-made weapons are still being used deliberately on Ukraine’s wars.
After being suspended for over a year, shipments of weapons and weapons resumed on March 12.
On February 28, Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the US leader, reportedly argued in the Oval Office.
In the southeast Donetsk region of eastern Russia, RFE/RL’s Maryan Kushnir and RFE/RL’s Maryan Kushnir met line forces in early March.
He found them using Bradley and the USP airplanes, as well as the British M777 gun, both of which are American and British.
The arms were in a lot of usage, almost continuous.
Kushnir, seated next to a M777, said,” The Ukrainian forces have opened aggressive fire near]the town of ] Kurakhove. They have only fired more than 20 shell, according to the report. This kind of ordnance arrived in the US in 2022. Both NATO-caliber shell and numerous other front-line guns are used frequently on the front lines. As you can see, the fire not stops.
The men Kushnir spoke with said they thought the military support expulsion had had little effect so far.
One unnamed man told Kushnir,” As far as I know, we are manufacturing shell today, so I don’t believe we will have any issues with the source.” ” And we will still have these weapons, too. We can also restore them if anything happens in the future. To allow us to use them once more, they are being repaired and restored.
Another unknown man said,” It’s not just America that’s helping us.” ” We may hold out until this circumstance ends.”
Between the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 and December 2024, the United States provided$ 67 billion in military aid, according to the German-based Kiel Institute for the World Economy.
In the same time, Europe provided$ 65 billion.
Fedir Venislavsky, a member of the Ukrainian parliament’s defence committee, predicted in first March that without US military assistance, Ukraine’s arms supplies would only last for six months.
