The new guide Fool’s Gold: The Radicals, Con painters, and rebels who sinned the California Dream and are now a threat to everyone is an extract from.
Residents of San Francisco awoke one bright autumn morning in 2023 to discover the city had changed. The bayside city had almost lost its identity almost overnight. The garbage heaps, mounds of feces, tainted knives, soiled cushions, and ragged tents were all gone, and streets and plazas once crowded with homeless camps and open-air drug marketplaces were clear. Storefront panels that had been previously blocked out presently flashed. All the stale graffiti, stale dust, and trash were replaced with colored murals, brand-new plant boxes, and vibrant new crosswalk markings. The forgotten processes through the town are now gleamed in fresh pressure-washed sidewalks.
San Franciscans experienced a true miracle after centuries of failure and$ 24 billion wasted on statewide initiatives aimed at reducing poverty in the previous five years: their city ( or at least the city ) was once again golden. The poor population may have vanished, but no one seemed to know where they went, which is perhaps the most surprising thing. How had a problem that has plagued regulators for decades been resolved in a matter of days?
Large concrete barricades and steel fences had been constructed downtown, and the formidable police presence could best be described as a” shock and awe” campaign, which the more unsettling the response turned into. The cheering crowds continued to march on the pavements while performing big Chinese banners on much poles. Numerous red lamps were strung high above the roads.
And it was ironic that the governor who unwaveringly praised the San Francisco recovery that morning, Gov. The exact career politician, Gavin Newsom, had failed the city for a long time. The Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation ( APEC ) summit, which took place on November 10, 2023 at the St. Regis Hotel, was attended by Chinese President Xi Jinping. And Newsom was firmly positioned to demonstrate that he was a major player on the international level. His attractive and enduring business dealings with Chinese officials gave him a sense of awe and respect for China that most politicians lack.
Pro-Beijing protesters greeted his appearance as Chinese Premier Xi Jinping’s rocket-proof armoured automobile made its way through the newly cleaned roads of San Francisco to the St. Regis Hotel. The activists had been bused in from their facilities spread throughout the United States, and they were United Front employees on the payment of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The paid CCP foot soldiers in Newsom’s California assaulted British human rights activists without charge against Xi’s appearance.
Critics compared Newsom’s Xi preparing to violent teenagers rushing to clear up after a home party before the parents arrived mocking it, calling it a” suitable scurryfunge.” Newsom acknowledged this. ” I know people say, Oh, they’re simply cleaning up this spot because all those expensive officials are coming into city,” he said, “because it’s true.”
Therefore, the roads were cleaned, but where did all the drug addicts, illegal immigrants, and poor people go? Did the recovery even mysteriously free them from their plight? Of course no. It turned out that the majority of them were only rounded up by authorities and herded to other parts of the city, like cattle in a circular eating loop, according to Newsom’s orders.
Not because it happened but suddenly, but because of who Gavin Newsom is, San Francisco underwent such a remarkable change. Newsom allegedly worked for more than 20 years to address the issues of homelessness, drug use, and murder in San Francisco and other states. And with his assistance, those issues just gotten worse. Why? Because, under typical situation, Newsom may resolve those issues. His philosophy prevents him from taking the necessary actions.
Newsom embodies the ominous progressive vision that has permeated California and is now a threat to every American, whether they reside in the towns, the suburbs, or even the far-off places in rural areas. The progressive vision for America calls for the legalization of crime, the eradication of jails, the release of harmful drugs, the opening of borders, the release of illegal aliens, free medical care, and interest-free loans.
More than any other latest politician, Newsom has swiftly and precisely carried out the progressive vision throughout his city and state. In a typical performative progressive way, Newsom addresses each issue: commission formation, appointment of a czar, press conference, and finally just raising money for it. His decades-long rule in California has had an utter loss.
His infinite and selfish ambitions only add to Newsom’s relentless drive to implement the failed liberal vision. Despite his plan flops, he has accumulated personal success, which has sparked his present course. Newsom’s initial response to a problem has always been to walk out the progressive phrases and boring platitudes of the Left Coast elite, for an unimaginative social creature that sprung from the ashes of California’s crooked Democratic establishment. It is entirely reflex-based.
In a one-party democratic state like California, where an infinite geyser of poor policy spews back schemes of extraordinary permissiveness and dysfunction, Newsom has learned that truly solving problems is not required for personal success. For Newsom’s political rivals, who are eager to address the ongoing issues of violence, drugs, and homelessness, enforced leniencies are existential catastrophes as criminals certainly gravitate toward his sanctuaries of chaos.
Democrats identify numerous “root causes” of poverty and violence, including a number of them: prejudice, predatory socialism, mental condition, drug addiction, broken families, illegal immigration, climate change, or even all of the above. No, Newsom’s options have nothing to do with the issues. Liberal policies, at best, try to cover up the issues and more frequently only make them worse.
Not only did Newsom and his Left Coast instructors create America’s failed liberal perspective, they also helped to inspire it. They also aided the CCP’s infiltration of America, which is now engaging in unrestrained conflict with Americans through fentanyl, TikTok, massive hacking businesses, subterfuge in academia, social unrest, and different methods of what our adversaries in Beijing refer to as “disintegration warfare.”
