Nevada’s secretary of state office recently released a statement looking into the possible “double ballot” of 303 voters during the state’s 2024 general election.
303 people attempted to “double vote,” which is a crime in Nevada, according to the Nevada secretary of state’s third monthly statement on vote violation studies and complaints. The document states that “voters who attempt to vote half are caught before the next vote is counted.” 5 of the 303 circumstances were closed, while 298 are still “open.”
According to the report, 68 “double vote” investigations were conducted during the June primary, with nine closed, eight closed, and 48 closed with” no advice for criminal costs.”

Double voting may occur, for example, if a “father and son with the same name who live in the same house both receive a poll” and the boy “votes in person” while the parents “mistakenly fills out his father’s vote and mails it to his County Clerk or Registrar’s Office” according to the secretary’s business. The secretary of state’s office would then be informed of the potential dual vote, and an analysis may take place. However, another situations may have malicious intentions. For example, Craig Frank of Las Vegas was recently sentenced for saying he could “vote more than once at the exact poll” because he had cast two ballots in the 2016 general election.
Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar stated in a statement that” we work hard to maintain the high requirements our citizens deserve.”” Ensuring the security of Nevada’s elections is one of my office’s most major responsibilities,” Aguilar said in a statement. ” I’m proud of the efforts the Secretary of State’s Office has made to safeguard every aspect of the election process and the ways we have taken to ensure Nevada’s citizens can continue to be comfortable in the dignity of our elections,” said the statement.
According to a previous quarterly statement from December, the state had 180 possible double-voting cases, with two more cases resolved without finding any violations, according to Breccan Thies ‘ report from The Federalist. There were 762 Election Integrity Violation Information filed at the time of the second quarter report, despite the fact that 515 circumstances were closed with no violations while 243 remained empty, according to Thies. According to Thies, four circumstances were “found to become violating election law.”
The secretary of state for Nevada confirmed in a telephone visit to The Federalist that no new information is added to the previous one.
The Citizen Outreach Foundation, which oversees the Pigpen Project, is president of the Citizen Outreach Foundation, who insisted on Aguilar that Nevadans could be” comfortable in the dignity of our elections,” Muth told The Federalist that these weekly reports are” severely lacking in transparency.”
” Nevadans need and deserve to know what exactly happened with each reported violation,” Muth said. It’s not enough to simply state that the reports were” closed.” We need to know the specifics so that we can identify potential voting fraud in advance rather than after the horse has already left the stables.
