President Donald Trump has reclaimed his large stick, executive power, in response to irresponsible lawyers and law firms that squandered time and money trying to hinder his first term, his plan, and now the implementation of his agenda.
No more will attorneys and law businesses be able to halt Trump’s every move by filing lawsuits without putting the risk in their own.
In an executive order that names one potential target, lawyer Marc Elias, the president calls on his leadership to employ five policies that carry attorneys and law firms responsible for misconduct in national cases or matters before executive departments and agencies of the United States. Simply put, Trump has mandated the second:
- Lawyers and law firms that engage in frivolous, absurd, and frivolous litigation are subject to sanctions.
- Give enforcement of rules governing counsel behavior and discipline a priority.  ,
- Attorney General Pam Bondi may ask for administrative action from any lawyer whose conduct appears to be in violation of professional conduct laws, especially in those involving matters involving national security, land protection, public safety, or election integrity. Lawyers should take into account the social obligations law partners have when supervising young attorneys, according to Bondi’s instructions. While the partners remain unhurt, the partners won’t be able to blame young attorneys for honest misconduct.
- The attorney basic may make recommendations to the leader when she thinks an attorney or law firm’s do warrants resuming disciplinary action.
- A review of the conduct and papers of attorneys and law firms in federal court cases may be conducted over the course of the next eight years. The attorney general is urged to advise the president of more measures that need to be taken if she discovers misconduct that necessitates further action, such as filing frivolous lawsuits or participating in fraudulent practices.
The last two items ‘” Additional steps” may include “reviews of security approvals held by the lawyer” or “termination of any federal deal for which the relevant lawyer or law firm has been hired to provide service.”
Trump mentions Elias, the co-founder and chairman of Elias Law Group LLP, as an example of someone who engages in “grossly unethical misconduct.” Elias ‘ involvement with the fictitious dossier that became the basis for the Russia collusion hoax and how he attempted to conceal his affiliation with former US president Hillary Clinton are mentioned in the order.
Elias is not named as the chair of Democracy Forward, a$ 14 million “nonprofit” whose goal is to challenge the Trump agenda, as per the order. Last week, Democracy Forward rushed to court in an effort to stop planes full of illegal aliens from being deported in partnership with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).  ,
Elias was hired as Kamala Harris ‘ unsuccessful presidential campaign legal counsel, and he was involved in legal proceedings in Pennsylvania that attempted to alter election regulations in an unsuccessful bid to keep former senator Bob Casey in office. He is the creator of Democracy Docket, a propaganda “news” platform that raises issues of Elias ‘ own interest and offers a leftist perspective on issues relating to election integrity.  ,  ,  ,
Elias is not the only one. There are individuals who are like him. Trump’s order also targets immigration litigation, which is “replete with examples of unscrupulous behavior by attorneys and law firms,”” Where rampant fraud and meritless claims have supplanted the constitutional and lawful bases upon which the President exercises core powers under Article II of the United States Constitution”
The order is only applicable to instances of misconduct in federal proceedings or matters before executive departments and governmental bodies of the United States.
If law firms go to court and litigate their legal right to do so, it would not surprise them.  ,  ,
