A subject line of an email that advertised a “donor officials briefing” where progressive Wisconsin Supreme Court member Susan Crawford addressed, read,” Time-sensitive: Chance to put two more House tickets in play for 2026.” According to the email, Crawford’s victory” may even lead to Democrats” winning “half the seats needed to take control of the House in 2026.”
The letter’s authors are not in error because this attractiveness sounds so dishonestly partisan for a “nonpartisan” administrative candidate.
Democrats are almost certain to lose two parliamentary seats in Wisconsin before the 2026 finals if Crawford wins the Wisconsin Supreme Court competition on April 1, putting in risk President Donald Trump’s authority from the citizens and the America First agenda.
When questioned about the internet, Crawford remarked that he was ignorant. When asked if she knew” the premise of the meeting before she ] entered it,” she responded,” I don’t believe I did”.
We have to take her word that the team did not talk about legislative maps with Crawford because, er, there seems to be no recording of the Zoom meet, as her traditional player Brad Schimel pointed out during their conversation.
It is irrelevant whether she knew that the group would possibly consider her victory a Democrat House acquisition.
In 2024, Rep. Bryan Steil, R-Wis., won the 1st Congressional District by , 40, 000 seats. Rep. Derrick Van Orden, R-Wis., won the 3rd Congressional District with simply 11, 000 seats. To convert both Regions into unprofitable, healthy Democrat regions, it would only get a small reshuffling of District 1 into pieces of Milwaukee and District 3 into pieces of Dane County.
Republicans have a slender 218-213 House majority. The four vacant positions in which special elections are necessary are in properly distributed protected districts, which may increase the margin of victory for Republicans to 220–215. Republicans may still carry a razor-thin 219-216 bulk if Democrats win an upset victory in the special election for New York District 21 after GOP Rep. Elise Stefanik resigns from her chair. Before anyone even casts a vote in Wisconsin’s first and third legislative districts in 2026, redistricting will offer them a nearly automatic one-seat lot.
Liberal Supreme Court Justice Janet Protasiewicz, who endorsed Crawford as soon as she announced her candidacy, frequently called the state city maps “rigged” and “unfair” ( for Democrats, that is ). During her 2023 campaign, The communist party Laws Forward filed a petition challenging those bipartisan-approved charts the day after she took her seat in the court. The court threw the liberals up, as expected, with her 4-3 majority, which was predictable.
Crawford has stated on numerous occasions that she approves of that choice. She tries to convince voters that the jury did not actually create new drawings, but rather that it simply returned them to the government because the previous charts weren’t” contiguous.”
But that is untrue.
Republicans were finally forced to accept Democrat governor. Tony Evers ‘ maps were a result of the court’s threat to choose its own image from entries from four democrats and two conservatives if the government and legislature don’t believe. Republicans were wrong to assume that if Protasiewicz and her democratic allies were to take control of the previously established democratic court, they may receive a worse deal than Evers.
Republican weren’t stuck between the rocks, according to status Senator Van Wanggaard. To get stabbed, picture, poisoned, or guillotined was up to the victim. We made the decision to be stabbed but that we could fight another day.
These innovative maps from Protasiewicz’s win, as the donor advisors briefing’s organizers noted in their email,” creating the potential to win room control in 2026″ lead to Democrats gaining 14 parliamentary seats in 2024.
This is their strategy for congressional legislature, no doubt: load liberals funded by California and New York billionaire donors, keep the legislature hostage until Republicans are sometimes forced to accept maps from Evers, helping Democrats, or to take maps from the court’s progressive majority, helping Democrats.
In his debate with Crawford, Schimel pointed out that nearly half of her donors can vote in Wisconsin, while the other half can’t because they don’t live there. Crawford disregarded this without making any claims. She countered that this is simply because Elon Musk is getting involved with Schimel, and that people from all over the country are upset about it.
One could argue that Crawford only became involved in an effort to level the playing field in a race that persistent Democrat mega-donors were using to win the U.S. House of Representatives because of the donations made before Musk’s super PAC joined in.
Liberals in Wisconsin have shown that they disregard the constitutional authority of a neutral judiciary, instead using it as a means of gaining control statewide and in Congress. Republicans will struggle to defend their congressional majority if Crawford wins and the court’s liberal majority eliminates the state’s two swing districts.
Americans would have to endure the same endless obstruction and impeachments they experienced under former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi from 2018 to 2020 if Democrats win the House in 2026.
