On Tuesday, President Donald Trump reiterated his support for national security director Mike Waltz, noting that Waltz does not need to “apologize” for unwittingly mentioning Jeffrey Goldberg in a conversation with Cabinet officers who planned strikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen.
Waltz and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s defections were immediately compelled by Goldberg’s record, which was released on Monday. Goldberg claimed that the government officials were idly discussing sensitive data, such as the schedule and potential targets of military hits.
