Leo Brent Bozell III, the founder of conservative media watchdog Leo Brent Bozell III, was Donald Trump‘s nominee for ambassador to South Africa, a nation he had contested relations with at the start of his next term.
The traditional Media Research Center, a watchdog organization that seeks to introduce liberal discrimination in the media, was founded by Bozell. He was nominated for the position of CEO of the Agency for Global Media, but it was withdrawn on Monday, the same day the Senate received the election for ambassador to South Africa.
The Trump administration has taken issue with the state of South Africa over its guidelines toward white people and the Gaza-Israel-Hamas conflict as a result of the nomination.
Trump cited a style of discrimination against the minority light Afrikaner population in an executive order signed last month, which allows” the state of South Africa to seize racial minority Afrikaners ‘ agricultural house without settlement.” The state of South Africa refuted discriminatory statements.
The purchase also mentions how the United States should “promote the settlement of African refugees fleeing government-sponsored race-based bias, including racially biased property confiscation,” and that South Africa has taken “aggressive positions” toward the United States and its allies, including Israel in its fight against Hamas.
The appointment of a South American embassy even came shortly after Secretary of State Marco Rubio declared Ebrahim Rasool, the country’s ambassador to the United States, was” no more pleasant in our great land.” Rasool’s comments were refuted by Rubio, who described him as” a hate-hating politician who hates America and hates]Trump.”
SOUTH AFRICAN AMBASSADOR REQUIRED TO LEAVE THE Land.
Rubio’s decision to designate Rasool as persona non grata was a rare political walk.
Before he can assume the position of ambassador, Bozell’s election must be approved by the Senate.
